Artist Statement
Nancy’s pieced art quilts, often abstract, specialize in emotional impact & glowing colors. She is a retired Architect and now a full time fabric artist creating art quilts. Nancy Bardach has been an art quilter for over 25 years. After retiring as an Architect she doubled down on her practice. Her exhibition portfolio is deep. It includes art galleries and museums as well as art quilt exhibitions, all juried shows. Annually juried into about 10 exhibitions throughout the US, she has also been published in numerous catalogs, books, quilt magazines, and web exhibitions.
She sells many of her original pieces. Nancy opts to show her art quilts in galleries and art museums whenever possible. Her goal is better recognition of the art quilt in the art world. She recently had a solo exhibition of 25 quilts at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts in CA.
Nancy received her BA from Harvard University Extension; Masters in Architecture from UC Berkeley.
