Information about the New Website

The SAQA website has been completely redesigned with a fresh, new look and updated content! We are still unpacking our "virtual moving boxes" and appreciate your patience during this time of transition.

If you are looking for something specific and can't find it, please use the search tool or check out the Frequently Asked Questions. Or email us at info@saqa.com and we would be happy to help!

You do need to be aware of changes to the login process. This only affects accessing members-only resources - the way you renew your membership, make a donation, or pay a fee is still the same. And your existing login name / password is still the same.

What else has changed:

The main www.saqa.com website is now on a completely different platform. This means that many links may no longer work. These are usually the ones that include "ID or CAT" like this:

http://www.saqa.com/memberArt.php?ID=3133
http://www.saqa.com/members.php?cat=40
http://www.saqa.com/memberArt.php?cat=8&ec=3&ex=104

While we moved a lot of content to our new website, we didn't bring over everything (especially information that was outdated or no longer relevant). Due to the differences between the two websites:

The new website is mobile-friendly - you can now easily view content on smaller devices, including phones.

Some of the content is ONLY available to logged in members. You will be prompted to login when you try to access it.

For security reasons, Zoom connection information and Membership lists are only shown for logged in members (even on a page that is available to the public).

Website Tips

Remember to SCROLL down to ensure that you don't miss all the great content, including some related new and events.

Some of the content is hidden in accordions - just click on + sign on the heading to expand it.

See a thumbnail image in a grid? Click on it. It will open up a slideshow that will display the entire series

When browsing the collection, you may want to open up new tabs instead of clicking through. This ensures that it's easier to return to the same search results. This is due to the "random" feature that makes every viewing a unique experience.

Each region now has its own landing page - once you find yours, bookmark it! It's a handy way to see all the information about your region in one place. If you are logged in, you will also see a pre-filtered list of just your regional members.

Font size too large? Use control and minus key (or command and minus on a Mac) to reduce the font size. Control plus 0 (zero) will reset it back to normal.

In 1996, SAQA made its first website with an address of http://isis.infinet.com/saqa. The internet itself was under 10 years old at the time. We have come a long way!
