Juried Artist Member (JAM)
I like to work extemporaneously and in the abstract. With the start of a gestural stroke of paint or dye, my initial design is established. The serendipity of the medium dictates the direction of my art. With the addition of geometrics and a touch of color, my design is in motion. Bright colors, geometry, and asymmetry excite me. A simple shape, the blast of a colorful line, or the contrast of black against white make my canvas sing. The process is an important aspect to my design, and my work is often intentionally ambiguous. My abstraction is deliberate, hoping the viewer will find inspiration in my work.
