My work is often intentionally ambiguous. When applying dyes and paints, the resulting quality of the line is always a pleasant surprise. I explore the interpretation of how the painted line can be manipulated within the construct of the textile piece. Paint and thickened dye come together, allowing the marks to dictate the direction of the design. In this work, the painted lines took the lead, with the stitched columns supporting the flow.
