Artist Statement
I discovered art quilting in 2017, and it quickly became a total passion. My life is now devoted to dyeing my own fabrics using my great-grandmother's linens and then creating textile paintings. My art is mainly abstract, sometimes alluding to landscapes, but never really figurative. I am a piecer and minimalist at heart. I work improvisationally and in series: my “cathedrals” won several awards, and I am currently finishing a series on music entitled “32 Variations in Tribute to JS Bach.”

I live in Nantes, France, and my European upbringing and culture strongly influence my work. What I want to express in my textile work is colour and beauty: I am aware that the use of bright, harmonious colors has a therapeutic effect on people, and I rejoice when visitors tell me that looking at one of my paintings gives them a sense of well-being and hope.
