Artist Statement
I am an improvisational textile artist. The rhythm and repetition of piecing fabric, cutting into the new configurations, and re-joining them--without ruler or measurement--create vigorous, abstract structures. Bold color and value choices further propel the musicality of the compositions. The works are densely quilted, flattening the images into dynamic fabric paintings.
