Entering Untold Stories
This quilt was inspired by an original photo of a hidden garden seen through the iron gate. I discovered it off a small alley in downtown Natchez, Mississippi. The warmth created by the sun on the brick pavers became the starting place for this journey. I painted and hand printed fabrics to complement that photo, adding water images as well. The water implies both serenity and life unknown within. It is my hope the viewer will enter this suggested narrative and insert their own personal experience.
