Inspired by the SAQA Migration exhibit (although it was not accepted), this old woman is looking back through time at the pain and losses she and her ancestors have suffered through to atrocity of slavery. I wrote a poem about her thoughts that is written down the flow of blood on the side of the quilt and printed and sown on the back.
