I have always been drawn to people playing, unusual perspective, and light and shadow. This piece shows my 'voice' early on. I used a zig zag stitch around each piece. The artwork is stronger because of the combined use of solid colored fabrics and textural nuetral fabrics. There is a small amount of hand embroidery used on the small face. This applique picture is stretched over strecher bars and hung on the wall like a painting.
