This piece is an element of a larger body of work titled A Common Thread, which was a three-year-long study of my local urban green space. On an almost daily basis, materials including leaves, barks, fungi, fruits, and other found objects were gathered. Investigations were carried out to ascertain the print, dye, and mark making potential of each. Where appropriate, these were then translated into a series of works which depict time, a sense of place, and the passing of the seasons.
