Passage

Passage may refer to a journey by sea or air, a short section of music or text, a connection to a destination elsewhere, a space of time. Passage is transient by definition. I am interested in the concept of expressing a fleeting moment in that most solitary and private journey, that of memory: just glimpsed in passing, just guessed at. This was my second Quilt National piece, an especially exciting exhibit as my husband Kerby C. Smith also had a piece accepted in Quilt National that year.
