Echinacea purpurea XII: Industria

This piece was made with reclaimed textiles from Knoll Furniture, where most of my family once worked. My sewing machine is 40 years old. I purchased it when the company made it known that it was the last of the metal, non-computerized machines to be made. I hand cut my fabric. Touching it grounds me, whether the texture is smooth or rough, the weight floating or heavy. Part of my creative process is to create the images that are in my mind. I fight against the use of AI when I realize it is there.
