Earth Blanket 2: Aftermath
This work drew on memories of driving home in the dark through the aftermath of a bush fire. In the black night, flickering embers and small flare-ups threw light on the grey scorched leaf litter and patches of ash where a few hours earlier trees had stood. The quilt shape reflects the damaged remnant of bushland remaining after the fire had passed.
