Leaving a career in public relations in federal service that spanned nearly 40 years, I embarked on a more creative but equally challenging passion - quilting. More specifically, art quilting. Over the last 10+ years, I have embraced textile arts and the many techniques associated with this genre of quilting. It is now my passion! I have entered a number of pieces in various competitions and have a number displayed at various national festivals, including Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival, the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo, and the Hoffman Challenge. I have participated in a number of Special Exhibits with Fabric Poets Art Bee, Awesome Quilt Tribe, and VA Poets Society.
