Wild and Wooly II

Non-SAQA
Exhibition

Birgitta Bower is known for intricately detailed sculptural felted landscapes saturated with a soaring range of color and luster. Bower takes her medium one step further by combining sheep wool with other wool such as alpaca and adds further texture with yarns, threads, and sometimes beads. Trial and error is an important element of her process as she constantly perfects her technique. She cleans, prepares, and dyes the wool herself, which she sources herself from Bay Area sheep farms. This is her second solo exhibition with M Stark Gallery.

Reception: November 8 from 1 to 4pm
