Tune in for a look into the current and future exhibitions at The George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum. The museum's collection of over 20,000 works of global textile art supports exhibitions ranging from rare examples of tapestry-woven tunics from the Inka Empire, on view this fall 2026, to a stunning display of embroidery from around the world, planned for fall 2027. Join curator of education, Lori Kartchner, for a sneak peek into upcoming museum exhibitions, and an introduction to the museums' collections and resources for textile artists.
Textile Talks features weekly presentations and panel discussions from the International Quilt Museum, Quilt Alliance, Studio Art Quilt Associates, and Surface Design Association. The programs are held online at 2 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. Pacific) each Wednesday.
