2 Irish Textile Artists, Ethelda Ellis and Eileen McNulty, both SAQA members are having an exhibition of their work. It is a collection of mainly Irish landscapes. Each of the artists has her own distinctive approach. Eileen is inspired by the stories that her mother told about the fairy trees and their connection to the underworld. Her characteristic trees with interesting undergrowth are in most of her work. Ethelda is inspired by her local landscape in the Midlands of Ireland and tries to capture it realistically in textiles.
