Threadlines

Holly Brackmann will exhibit her “Threadlines,” contemporary art embroideries and collages, August 7-28 at the Corner Gallery, Ukiah CA.  Featured will be repurposed antique linen, fabric scraps, hand-dyed textiles, and heirloom family photos transferred to fabric. Many of the pieces include embroidered poetry or prose, which relates to the imagery.  The small-sized pieces offer the viewer an overall impression, then an intimate reflection while looking more closely at the stitching and pondering the text.
