The TENX10 exhibition features artworks by 100 women and gender-diverse artists, celebrating their skills and talents.
The exhibition also marks Wits University's centenary and Wits Art Museum's tenth birthday.
Works from more than 100 years ago are among the diverse artworks on display. Come and discover the variety of techniques and materials included, by well-known artists and artists whose names we do not know, along with artworks by individual artists and those by artists' collectives.
There has often been an underrepresentation of women and gender diverse artists, including at WAM. For our 2022 programming, WAM will therefore focus primarily on these artists.TENX10 is the launch of that year-long focus.
