SAQA Webinar: The Hows and Whys of "Quilted and Carved" with Sue Sherman

SAQA
Online Event
Time
4-5pm EST (GMT/UTC -5)

Sue Sherman explains all about her new "quilted and carved" work. These are whole cloth dye-painted animal portraits surrounded by metallic frames painted onto the same cloth.  After quilting, Sue cuts away the background and finishes the edges for a sculpted look.  She puts a lot of thought into making original frames she likes to think the animal might choose for itself. The lecture will show the labour-intensive creation process in detail, and showcase the wide variety of quilts with thoughtful and/or whimsical frames that Sue has made in this series.

This webinar will be on January 20 at 4pm EST (GMT/UTC-5, New York Time). It will be recorded.
