Isabelle Wiessler's works follow in the tradition of expressive worlds of color and light that oscillate between nature and abstraction. Her textile surfaces open up an additional dimension in which surface treatment, colored layers, and precisely placed stitches replicate and reinterpret natural textures.
In her works, Wiessler translates moods, light, and changes in nature into multi-layered surfaces and opens up new spatial experiences with installation formats. In doing so, she also reflects on social and political issues as well as topics such as the environment and transience, creating an exciting dialogue between the work, the space, and the viewer.
This results in works that can be experienced visually and emotionally, in which the fabric itself becomes the carrier of a poetic visual language.
