quilters in conversation

Join the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts & Fiber Arts for an engaging conversation and presentation with Julian Jamaal Jones and Dr. Myrah Brown Green. Jones, an acclaimed Indiana-based quilter, is developing a new body of work for his 2027 solo exhibition, “A Seat at the Altar” at WMQFA. This project furthers his exploration of spirituality, abstraction, and Black identity. Dr. Myrah Brown Green is a celebrated author, historian, and quilter whose work is represented in prestigious collections, including the Smithsonian’s Anacostia Community Museum in Washington, DC, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and the Smithsonian’s satellite collection at Michigan State University.
