On Sept. 9, join IQM Collections Manager Jamie Swartz for an in-depth look at "Material Nation: 250 Years of American Quiltmaking." Swartz will discuss the "American Identities" gallery on display in the IQM's West Gallery.

“American Identities” focuses on American quiltmaking as a vehicle for expressing identity and social transformation since the mid-twentieth century. These textiles document pivotal historical moments while preserving cultural traditions shaped by migration and resettlement.
