The results of this juried event will be a published book and possible exhibits. The book, as well as potential exhibit, will celebrate the emergence of a piece of art by entering into both an artist's mind and studio practices.
The artists selected for this exhibit will devote 6 months toward creating a textile or mixed media piece that will be as varied as their techniques. Up to 25 artists will be chosen to chronicle their artistry and process during the 6-month period in a “soup-to-nuts” type of design experience. Selection will be based on a proposal by the artist that will include a design concept in general terms and define how they plan to approach the final piece.
