Join us in celebrating the publication of Craft & Craftivism: A Biographical Dictionary of Contemporary Artists in Canada: Volume II Fibres as we hear from editor Shannon Stride and featured artists, Jaime Black-Morsette and Stina Baudin - all of which have made significant contributions to Canadian visual art through their work and the stories they tell. Shannon Stride is a crafter, curator, and arts writer committed to accessibility in the arts and feminist histories. Jaime Black-Morsette has been using their art practice as a means to organize community around the epidemic of violence against Indigenous women and girls for over 15 years. Stina Baudin interweaves data, sound, text, materials, and oral histories to articulate Black life and its contested histories. The work they do spans across time and calls each of us to action.
