Cecilia Koppmann is an award-winning artist based in Argentina who is known for her striking, modern quilts, as well as her generous teaching style. Throughout her adult life, Cecilia believes the art of quilting has rescued her multiple times, specifically during two different bouts with cancer, the pandemic, as well as moments of personal stress.
In this interview by Teresa Duryea Wong, Cecilia will share how the power of quilts has helped her heal in her own life, and how others can apply these life lessons to their own journeys.
Textile Talks features weekly presentations and panel discussions from the International Quilt Museum, Quilt Alliance, Studio Art Quilt Associates, and Surface Design Association. The programs are held online at 2 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. Pacific) each Wednesday.
