Artist, designer, and author Amy Barickman will share a selection of quilts and fabric friends from her latest book, Love You to Pieces: A Gift of Friendship, including the Sock Monkey, Yo-Yo Clown, and Sunshine Polly Doll. We’ll explore their origins, the stories behind them, and why each was chosen for inclusion in Love You to Pieces. Ultimately, her hope is that this Textile Talk and Q&A becomes its own shared story—one that connects us, inspires us, and maybe even sparks new friendships along the way.
Textile Talks features weekly presentations and panel discussions from the International Quilt Museum, Quilt Alliance, Studio Art Quilt Associates, and Surface Design Association. The programs are held online at 2 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. Pacific) each Wednesday.
