How do I register? How much does it cost?
We are offering ALL the conference content for a flat fee of $200 USD which is 50% off regular conference price of $400. Registration will stay open until April 29.
This fee covers 12 hours of inspiration, education, and chances to connect with like-minded artists spread over two weekends with eight additional hours over four days during the connecting week for studio tours, incredible virtual exhibitions, opportunities to get your questions answered about certain parts of SAQA, and more chances to talk to fellow fiber artists. That's more than 20 hours for $200. It's a bargain!
What is Whova?
To take advantage of all that the conference has to offer, you will need to setup an account on Whova (read more). While it is not required (all webinars and meetings on Zoom can be accessed via direct links), it is very highly recommended.
All registered attendees will have access to Whova from mid April to the end of July. Once you create your Whova account, you will be able to create your own conference schedule, view all the live events, watch recordings, and even connect with other attendees through chats and/or video meetings.
Whova offers both a Web app (accessed through a browser on your computer - Chrome is recommended) and a mobile app (iOS and Android). We suggest trying out both - the web version allows for better viewing of presentations but the mobile version is great for connecting with others. You are NOT required to use the mobile app if you do not want to!

What will be recorded?
Main presentations will be recorded and made available to attendees by the next day. All conference attendees will have access to the recordings for 3 months after the live conference within Whova. The following events will NOT be recorded:
- Welcome / Ice Breaker
- Coffee, Cocktails, and Conversation
- Mid-week events (videos will be available of the content but the actual meetings will not be recorded)
Where can I find details about the schedule? Where can I find the recordings?
The conference schedule is available on the website and within Whova (under Agenda). You can also add the sessions to your calendar of choice (Outlook, Google, etc.). Once a recording is available, it will posted on the session page within Whova and added to our private conference youtube channel.
During the conference, we will also be sending out daily emails with links to Zoom meetings and available recordings. If you are not receiving these emails, check your spam folders and add email@example.com to your list of approved senders.
Some events are at the same time - when do I decide which one to attend?
You do not have to decide what breakout session to attend at registration time - you can make your selection at the scheduled time. You will be able to watch a recording of the other breakout session by the next day.
What timezone are the events listed in?
SAQA uses US/Canada Eastern Timezone - at the time of the conference, it will be Eastern Daylight Time (GMT -4 / UTC -4).

Once you create your Whova account, you will be able to view the schedule in your local time zone and add it specific sessions to a personalized agenda.
What type of internet connection/speed do I need? How do I know if it will work?
Conference content will be delivered mostly via Zoom in both webinar and meeting formats. The best way to find out if you have the necessary bandwidth is to attend one of our free online events such as Textile Talks (webinar) or Inside SAQA:Q&A (meeting).
We would also recommend that you start using the WhoVa conference platform as soon as it's available. This would be a great way to become more comfortable with the technology and test everything out. Note that Whova does recommend using Chrome as your internet browser.
I can't make it to the entire conference - is there a single day or partial rate?
Due to the format of the conference and the availability of recordings, we are not offering any partial registrations at this time.
Are there any workshops?
SAQA has not traditionally included hands-on workshops with our conference. We offer presentations, breakout sessions focused on professional and creative development, and tours of local art venues. Since there are so many other places to take workshops, we feel that focusing on different kinds of opportunities make our conferences a valuable experience in a different way.
Do I have to be a SAQA member to attend?
