An awakening can fill, enrich and color our lives. An awakening might be sudden and surprising. Consider the excitement of a new relationship, or the renewal of a long-term one, or an abrupt awakening following a dream at night. Some awakenings are recurring and rooted in nature: springtime stirring and the rebirth of the earth after winter -- or a magnificent sunrise. Some awakenings are a growing awareness. You might awaken spiritually, intellectually, or with new interests. Simply by being observant, you might have a lightbulb moment of clarity you had not previously experienced. A book, song lyrics, or the study of current events can be energizing as you think, “Wow! I never thought about that before!”
