Turmoil

The unexpected death of a close family member left me feeling numb and uninspired. I was weighed down with grief and overwhelmed by depression. I lost my desire to create. I forced myself to go back into the studio to cut and sew strips together, although I had no plan or design in mind. Eventually, a quilt emerged and I felt myself come back to life. Working on this piece helped calm the chaos in my mind and soul, and more importantly, gave me back my urge to create.
