The shimmering metallic jewel bugs (Scutiphora pedicellata) live in large social colonies of adults and nymphs, within the native landscape of east coast Australia. Their constant foraging for plant sap and flower nectar causes them to inadvertently pollinate the many flowers they visit while feeding. Small in size...but definitely beautiful giants of pollination!
