I love nature and try to help the planet by recycling, especially by using denim jeans in my work. There is a wide variety of blues available. I find the different hues and values perfectly portray the icy blue landscapes of winter, and the moody, wet, and overcast scenes that are typical of Ireland. For me, the color blue has always been synonymous with cold. Walking in a wood on a particularly frosty day inspired this quilt in a series of seasonal quilts called Time. I enjoyed stitching the glittering frost on the dull denim.
