This piece was completed during isolation as I gathered disparate material together to form a new whole. I wondered if they would hold. I was reminded of W.B. Yeats' poem "The Second Coming" and especially the line "Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold". In these unusual times we wonder whether we can create things where the centre will hold. This piece speaks to the idea that diverse materials can hold together and form a new reality.
