Swallow Me Whole

Sometimes my existence seems multi-layered, one part of me swallowed by another, a youthful piece swallowed by something more anxious, gulped down by the overwhelmed third me, with the fourth me quite capable but never having time to clean house, and the fifth me is just barely hanging on. This piece is about the multitude of inner selves and the pressure to make everything work.
