This quilt captures my husband, Patrick, during a moment of doing his favorite thing, fishing. The fish should appear bored as he has filled up on all the free worms. Patrick is accompanied by our children's favorite fictional bedtime story character, Michael Muskrat, invented by husband.

cottons, plastic worm, found string, buttons, netting from purchased fruit, pearl cotton
Techniques
this was created before raw edge 3-D appliqué was generally used. There are mountains made of wrinkled fabrics and some of the appliqué was stuffed and projects out of the quilt. Children loved the piece!
