Spectrums 2 - Blue Lines

My passions for intricate piecing and organic textures and forms result in ever-unfolding visual imagery. In “Spectrums 2 - Blue Lines” I wanted to explore both the simplicity and the complexity that are possible using stripes and lines. It is constructed from solid-colored scraps. I first created 11 long strips, each a different value of blue and then strip-pieced these with solid black. Lines were then cut from each strip-set and combined to form gradations.
