This quilt is based upon the skylights in the National Historic Landmark Painted Desert Inn at Petrified Forest National Park near Holbrook, Arizona. The skylights were designed by NPS architect Lyle Bennett. I was an Artist in Residence at Petrified Forest in July 2015 and this quilt was a result.
