Pelican Play 1

A comical, uniquely featured bird, the pelican is characterized by its long beak and large throat pouch, which it uses for feeding. Recalling the light-hearted limerick that begins, “A wonderful bird is the pelican,” I created a graphic abstraction using basic design elements to covey the happy feeling of a pelican at play.
