Nude Blue Chair Reclining

My companion during the cold, gray days of December is an old blue velvet chair that sits across form me as I read. It is like an elderly member of the family, treasured and admired for its antique poise. It has lines ideal for drawing, fuzzy worn velvet fabric and a squashed feather cushion that molts. One icy day I pictured my blue chair relaxing in a sunny room with a picture of spring tulips on the wall. Like most of my quilts, Blue Chair is whimsical in nature with festive colors, humorous stories, and fanciful perspective.
