The bulk of my work has depicted images from my environment, especially the woods in western Maine. Working with layers of acrylic painted silk, my fiber art features transparency; also the use of seam lines as a design element. As a Quilt National 2009 Juror, I chose this quilt to represent my art as the exhibition toured the US.
Materials
Acrylic painted silk, linen (dark highlights), acrylic painted cotton, canvas, batting
Techniques
Layering, collage, piecing, machine stitching
