Liberty Deconstructed/Reconstructed is my disillusioned, satiric version of a prototype wall for the United States-Mexico border. It features recycled fencing strung between slats that are surprisingly green in such an arid landscape... and somehow familiar. That's because they come from a disgraced American icon—patinated copper slabs from the Statue of Liberty.
