Part of the deconstructed kimono series I am currently work on. I am very interested in what happens when you construct a work, cut it up, and reconstruct it, turning it into a three dimensional piece. This series is on-going and I plan to work with it in the next few years developing new ideas for layers, shapes, and sizes.
Cotton, silk, hand dyed batting, landscaping cloth.
Silk screened and hand printed fabrics; commercial fabrics, hand dyed fabrics, layered, stitched, cut, and reconstructed onto a "back" or frame.
