Force of Nature

The presence of black women in our current society is fraught with inconsistencies, appropriation, and fear; and yet aspects of their visage are often copied and revered. In the future, I envision a world where the black woman is recognized for her gifts and achievements—a world where her beauty will be her own and not one unnaturally forced upon her. She will be the respected woman, and the force of nature that she is; wholly accepted, embraced, and loved.
