Alone At The Beach

A solitary walk on the beach (a life long passion of mine) clears my head of the world around me, often making room for creative inspirations. Walking behind my daughter as we walked at a Carpenteria, California beach, I snapped a photo. It captured the mood I feel when walking alone. I chose to completely hand stitch the fractured images, using a black/white/red palette to emphasize the solitary nature of a beach walk rather than using realistic colors.
