We have the Atlantic Ocean, the Appalachian Mountains, beaches, forests, rivers, farms, suburbia, big cities, and small towns. Not to mention all those spaces in between! The Delaware, DC, Maryland, and West Virginia SAQA Region might be geographically large, but we feel much closer through our monthly Zoom meetings, regional exhibitions, get-togethers, and the occasional workshop. Our region is very active, thanks to its dedicated members and volunteers who are waiting to meet you!
Coastal Quilter is a very active local SAQA connection, also known as a “pod” of members east of the Chesapeake Bay, often referred to as the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Many of our region’s members join in challenges and opportunities to showcase their quilting artworks in regional exhibitions. Coastal quilters get together regularly for hands-on workshops or “play dates.” This pod also presents themed challenges or “prompts” to our region’s members, stimulating all sorts of new ideas!

We have found this group to be a very fluid method of communicating as a region. You can keep up to date, get to know other SAQA members and enjoy their work.
