Suminagashi on Fabric

Make a marbled maze of color on fabric by learning the basics of suminagashi, “floating ink”–the Japanese art of marbling. Instead of working on the traditional paper medium, you will make samples and small works on cotton fabric. Use these vibrant and colorful fabrics to add to art quilts, make fiber art jewelry, affix to stationery, and more. Bring your creative side, along with a paper and pencil for taking notes.
