SPIRIT POSSESSION is a celebration of Ghanaian faces, African culture, and African American heritage. A collaboration of two documentary image-makers, Thomas Fynn and Tom Lamb, joined by Master African American textile artist and Culture Bearer, Allyson Allen. The exhibit will feature Allen's larger-than-life 16 ft by 16 ft sustainable textile masterpiece, along with stunning full-color photography from the African continent. Allyson is the 2024 recipient of the prestigious Craft Industry Alliance's Golden Scissors Award for Social Impact. The three artists will also present gallery talks and other special programs on June 19th, honoring Juneteenth.
