Now in its 20th year, the annual SAQA Benefit Auction is a highly-anticipated art quilt sales event. In this Textile Talk, SAQA Executive Director Martha Sielman is joined by several participating artists. We'll hear about their artwork, process, and inspirations. We'll also look at tons of gorgeous Benefit Auction quilts.
Garnering submissions from nearly 400 SAQA members, the auction artworks span the breadth of the medium. With opportunities to purchase artwork from $75-$1000, the Benefit Auction is a gateway for new art collectors. All auction proceeds support SAQA's mission to promote the art quilt and help fund our exhibitions, education, and outreach programs (including Textile Talks)!
Textile Talks features weekly presentations and panel discussions from the International Quilt Museum, Quilt Alliance, Studio Art Quilt Associates, and Surface Design Association. The programs are held online at 2 p.m. Eastern (11 a.m. Pacific) each Wednesday.
