Quilting for Mental Health by Christine Hager-Braun

Exhibition

Christine bases her art on her own experience with depression. However, instead of dwelling on the darkness, the isolation, and the pain, she focuses on the trust in her own ability to heal. She sees her work as an expression of emotions through colorful abstract line art. As we face opposing forces in our lives, Christine’s art often has a juxtaposition of light and dark colors. This exhibit is designed to create a safe space for viewers to engage in a conversation about the importance of mental health not only in a moment of crisis, but on a daily basis.
