Exhibition Concept:
By changing our perspective of something, we become more aware and sensitive to it and perhaps view it in a new light. With that in mind, we invite the SAQA KS/MO/OK regional artists to express the primary theme of “In or Out” in a creative or innovative way.
One may think about being "In or Out" of a physical space, or moving from one space to another. Or it may be more conceptual such as “Out” of compliance or social conformity. This simple phrase can be visually expressed using commercial or repurposed textiles and stitching in a myriad of ways.
The artists are encouraged to interpret their own vision of “In or Out” whether abstract or representational.
